Great tutorial I just did a post on the same thing today, Great site we are doing a lot of the same kind of things, cacti, Nagio,. etc I am gonna keep an eye on your site. I am curious what you are using to make the videos it looks like camtasia.
Thanks
Sup squad. You have some good, concise articles…:) I use camtasia for my classes, but for my tutorials I use wink from debug mode. It is 100% free and is VERY feature rich.
BTW, I’m glad you like the site…now I have 3 fans…including my mom and grandma…hehe
awesome tutorial for an awesome application, but please take a look at the sizing of the website, the tutorial looks abit squashed in my browser
Very nicely done tutorial! Couldn’t have made it easier on me
@Gary
Glad it was helpful 🙂
What version of cacti are you using. I (cacti-0.8.7f-1.el5 – redhat) don’t have all the tabs you do. Also I am having some issues with my cacti graphing for hosts. It is a new install.
@Mitch
I’m using cactiEZ.
This is a great tutorial. However, CactiEZ version 0.7 was released in October 2012 and it includes Cacti v0.8.8a, which has a different UI layout. I’m going to try and reproduce this video process using Wink and CactiEZ version 0.7. It’ll force me to learn Wink for future documentation.
