{"id":99,"date":"2009-02-20T01:04:38","date_gmt":"2009-02-20T07:04:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gregsowell.com\/?p=99"},"modified":"2009-02-18T14:22:03","modified_gmt":"2009-02-18T20:22:03","slug":"my-thumb-drive-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gregsowell.com\/?p=99","title":{"rendered":"My Thumb Drive 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More tools.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"hfs\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rejetto.com\/hfs\/\" target=\"_blank\">HFS(HTTP FIle Server)<\/a>&#8211; A quick program that hosts files via http.\u00a0 Even if most common ports are blocked, you can almost always hit port 80.\u00a0 So just fire this guy up, add a folder or individual files and boom.\u00a0 It has soooo many options beyond just that, but that&#8217;s all I ever use it for.\u00a0 I use it most often when dealing with unity express.\u00a0 To transfer most files you have to use http, and this does the job perfectly.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"filemon\" href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sysinternals\/bb896642.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Filemon<\/a>&#8211; Another Sysinternals special.\u00a0 Monitor what files are in use by which applications.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"omziff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.xtort.net\/xtort-software\/omziff\/\" target=\"_blank\">Omziff<\/a> &#8211; This is a file encryption tool, file splitter, file shredder and hash generator.<\/p>\n<p>Depends.exe &#8211; M$ dependency walker.\u00a0 You can specify a DLL and it will tell you all other DLLs that it references.\u00a0 It also gives you insight into these files.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"AUTOLOGON\" href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sysinternals\/bb963905.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Autologon<\/a>&#8211; Sysinternals prog that sets one of the windows accounts to autologon on boot.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"xp mount iso\" href=\"http:\/\/download.microsoft.com\/download\/7\/b\/6\/7b6abd84-7841-4978-96f5-bd58df02efa2\/winxpvirtualcdcontrolpanel_21.exe\" target=\"_blank\">WinXP Virtual CD <\/a>&#8211; This is a little prog that was released by M$.\u00a0 It allows you to mount an ISO as a virtual cd-rom.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"tftpd32\" href=\"http:\/\/tftpd32.jounin.net\" target=\"_blank\">Tftpd32 <\/a>&#8211; This is one of my favorite apps.\u00a0 This is a great tftp server, dhcp server, tftp client, syslog server and sntp server.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve used this little app countless times!\u00a0 This is a must have for every USB drive.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"text crawler\" href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalvolcano.co.uk\/textcrawler.html\" target=\"_blank\">Text Crawler <\/a>&#8211; This is another great prog.\u00a0 Whenever you have a pile of files and you are looking for specific words, this is invaluable.\u00a0 You can match using standard find strings or regex expressions.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve used it to crawl database exports.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve used it to crawl countless opensource packages.\u00a0 It also has a regex tester, which is really convenient.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More tools.
