The Tips:<\/h2>\n

1. Show up.
\n– If you\u2019re early you\u2019re on time. If you\u2019re on time you\u2019re late. If you\u2019re late, you\u2019re fired.
\n– Never be late\u2026 especially to a client.
\n2. KNOW DNS.
\n– It\u2019s never DNS\u2026 till it is.
\n– Use DNS!
\n3. Be humble. Ask for help.
\n– Have a network of peers.
\n– Don\u2019t wait too long to call support! That\u2019s what they\u2019re there for!
\n4. Backup all the things.
\n– File data
\n– Systems
\n– Configs
\n5. Don\u2019t be married to vendors. Use the right tool for the job.
\n– Windows vs Linux
\n– Mikrotik vs Cisco
\n– Cisco SMB vs Bruhcade
\n– Unifi vs Meraki
\n6. Bonus: Learn. Go outside your comfort zone, silo.
\n– Podcasts.
\n– Books, audio.
\n– Youtube, pluralsight, etc.
\n7. Bonus: Teach. Mentor. Give more than you take.
\n– Don\u2019t limit this to tech.
\n– True happiness is in serving others.<\/p>\n
