Mikrotik V5.14 Released

What’s new in 5.14 (2012-Feb-22 12:04):

*) winbox – fixed problem when changing main winbox window size and some of the inner windows
become hidden;
*) backup – backup file creation failed if router identity name had / in it;
*) wireless – improved nv2 link stability to reduce control frame timeouts,
only AP requires update;
*) fixed rare configuration retention problems on RB1100AHx2;
*) certificate manager – fixed building certificate trust chain which caused
certificate validation problems for some programs (VPN, SSTP etc)
when downgrading from this version to older version please run
“/certificate reset-certificate-cache” to maintain correct trust chain;

    I had tons of issues with 5.13 and the 751. Anyone dare run 5.14 on theirs?

    I have 5.13 on a 751…then again I’m not using it in any real way hehehe.

    Josh,

    I think you’ve got bad luck when it comes to 751s… Mine is fine.

    I would suggest doing a net install on it, then a sys reset and remove the default config and set it up from scratch. If your having issues with wireless and your phone make sure to set preamble to long.

    Agreed sir hehehehe

    @Justin
    I did all that. I think the 751 they gave me in Vegas was just busted. I replaced it and downgraded to 5.7 and have almost 3 days of uptime and Winbox still works.

    I know they had issues with the power supplies from the units in vegas. They didn’t like 12v power much. All the lights would flash like it didn’t have enough power to fully boot up.. If you used a 24v power supply it worked fine. Tom @ roc-noc could elaborate.

    I’m glad this new one is working for you.

    Had any install issues? So far i’ve had 2 out of 3 upgrades go bad and need an etherboot / netinstall to bring back to life. First time i’ve had an upgrade issue on the RB1100’s.

    @Noven
    I’ve not had any issues yet. I don’t have any 1100s, though.
